JOB TITLE: Electrical Maintenance Technician
TYPE: Temp to Hire
LOCATION: Houston, Texas 77066
PAY: $25/hr. – $30/hr.
SCHEDULE: 5 pm – 5 am (Mon. – Fri.)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in CNC machines, automated equipment, and facility systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC I/O layouts, and control panel drawings.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, drives, relays, sensors, solenoids, contactors, and power distribution components.
Perform testing using multimeters, megohm meters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
Ensure all electrical work complies with NFPA 70E, NEC, and company safety standards.
Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, or similar) including servo systems, spindles, tool changers, and lubrication systems.
Perform mechanical repairs involving bearings, belts, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Calibrate and align machine components to maintain accuracy and repeatability.
Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of CNC and automated equipment.
Execute scheduled PM tasks on CNC and facility equipment, documenting findings and corrective actions.
Monitor machine performance and identify early indicators of electrical or mechanical failure.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, parts usage, and service records in the CMMS.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong background in industrial electrical systems, including troubleshooting 480V three‑phase power, control circuits, and low‑voltage systems.
Hands‑on experience repairing and maintaining CNC machines and automated manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, PLC wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and continuity testers.
Working knowledge of PLC inputs/outputs, sensors, and machine control logic (no programming required, but familiarity is expected).
Experience with mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, and drive assemblies.
